The Texas Rangers were absolutely crushed by the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night as the Rangers defeated the Twins 11-4.  The Rangers had 11 hits compared to the Twins 13 hits, but the had more rbi chances and took advantage of them all game long.

Doug Mathis was rocked for eight hits and nine runs in only 2 1/3 innings of action.  Six of those nine runs were earned as Mathis’s era sky rocketed to 10.12.  Mathis is now 1-1 on the season.

Franklyn German pitched the next 3 2/3 innings and did a wonderful job as he did not allow a run to cross the plate.  The Rangers then called on Josh Rupe to throw the final two innings of the game and he gave up three hits and two runs.

Ian Kinsler, Josh Hamilton, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and German Duran all had one rbi in the game for the Rangers.
