The Texas Rangers were absolutely crushed by the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night as the Rangers defeated the Twins 11-4. The Rangers had 11 hits compared to the Twins 13 hits, but the had more rbi chances and took advantage of them all game long.

Doug Mathis was rocked for eight hits and nine runs in only 2 1/3 innings of action. Six of those nine runs were earned as Mathis’s era sky rocketed to 10.12. Mathis is now 1-1 on the season.

Franklyn German pitched the next 3 2/3 innings and did a wonderful job as he did not allow a run to cross the plate. The Rangers then called on Josh Rupe to throw the final two innings of the game and he gave up three hits and two runs.

Ian Kinsler, Josh Hamilton, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and German Duran all had one rbi in the game for the Rangers.

The Texas Rangers lost a close game to the Minnesota Twins on Monday night as the two teams battled into the 12th inning. The Twins came back to tie the game in the ninth inning and eventually ended up scoring in the 12th inning to beat the Rangers 7-6.

Franklyn German took the loss for the Rangers and is now 1-3 on the season. German gave up two hits, a walk, and one run in the 12th inning.

Scott Feldman started the game for the Rangers. Feldman tossed six innings while giving up seven hits and five runs in the game. He gave up one home run and struck out two batters. C.J. Wilson tried closing the game in the ninth inning but was unable to do so as he gave up two walks and a run. You just can’t win when you walk people late in the game…

Josh Hamilton and Ian Kinsler both hit solo home runs for the Rangers but it was Jason Saltalamacchia who led the team with two rbi. Saltalamacchia had a two run rbi single in the seventh inning. Milton Bradley and David Murphy both had a rbi in the game as well.

That is a tough way to lose a game, we will have to see how the Rangers bounce back from it on Tuesday night when they play the Twins once again. Rangers Blog

It was a productive three game series for the Texas Rangers even though they lost to the Seattle Mariners 4-3 in 12 innings on Wednesday afternoon. The Rangers took two out of three games from the Rangers and are now two games away from hitting the .500 mark.

Scott Feldman threw seven innings of six hit baseball on Wednesday as he started the game for the Rangers. He allowed three runs but only one of those was earned. An error by Ramon Vazquez in the seventh inning really hurt the Rangers as two runs would score that inning off Feldman.

Doug Mathis, C.J. Wilson, Jamey Wright, and Eddie Guardado all pitched one inning of relief and all pitched scoreless innings. It wasn’t until Franklyn German came into the game did the bullpen give up a run. It’s too bad that that one run decided the ballgame. German took the loss and his record dropped to 1-2 on the season.

Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, and David Murphy all had one rbi in the game for the Rangers. They were just missing out on that one home run or one big hit to knock a couple more runs in. All in all though, it was a good series for the Rangers in my opinion.

The Texas Rangers lost to the Boston Red Sox on Monday afternoon with a score of 8-3. Going up against the pitching of Clay Buchholz and the rest of the Boston bullpen, the Rangers struck out 10 times and were only able to get three runs.

Michael Young and Josh Hamilton each had a pair of doubles with Gerald Laird and David Murphy each picking up a double. Laird was able to pick up his 10th RBI of the year and Hamilton picked up his 19th RBI.

Kason Gabbard was the opening pitcher for the Rangers throwing for only two innings before coming out giving up no hits and three walks. Gabbard hurt his back when he was pitching to Kevin Youkilis in the second inning.

Dustin Nippert was brought in for 2.1 innings and picked up the loss putting him at 1-2 for the year after allowing nine hits and eight runs. Franklyn German and Joaquin Benoit were brought in to finish the game.. All together the Rangers bullpen gave up 12 hits, eight runs, and eight walks.

Tonight the Texas Rangers will take on the Tiger in Detroit for the first of a three game series.
