The Texas Rangers had the Los Angeles Angels number as they had won seven of the last eight games against the Angels but on Monday night it was the Angels who came out on top by the score of 7-4.

All the Rangers could get going was three runs in the 1st inning off.  After that they were not able to score again until the 8th inning.  Hank Blalock had the big hit that was a two-run home run in the first inning.  Blalock finished the game with three RBI and Michael Young contributed with one RBI.

Jason Jennings picked up another loss for the Rangers.  Jennings record now stands at 0-3 on the season and he really needs to turn it around before he gets demoted out of the starting rotation.  Jennings only pitched 4.2 innings and allowe seven hits and six earned runs.  When your starting pitcher gives up six earned runs, usually you are going to lose the game, just like the Rangers did.

The Texas Rangers finally gave starting pitcher Kevin Millwood enough run support for him to earn a victory.  Millwood beat the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday by the score of 3-1.  It was Millwoods first win of the season, even though he could easily be 2-0 on the season if he would have had some run support.

After Millwood pitched seven strong innings, Joaquin Benoit and C.J. Wilson both pitched a scoreless inning.  Wilson picked up the save which was his second of the season.

At the plate, Josh Hamilton led the Rangers with two RBI’s.  Michael Young also had two hits and an RBI.

The Texas Rangers picked up a nice road victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night.  The 11-6 pounding gave the Rangers a 2-2 record on the season so far.

Kason Gabbard threw seven shutout innings for the Rangers, and had the Angeles batters thinking what in the hell pitch he was going to throw next.  Gabbard gave up seven hits, struck out four and walked two to earn the victory.

The big hit for the Rangers was a grandslam by Ben Broussard in the fourth inning.  That was kind of a dagger in the heart of the Angeles the way Gabbard was throwing the ball.

Josh Hamilton chipped in with three RBI while Ian Kinsler contributed with two RBI.  Michael Young also had one RBI for the Rangers.  It was a great showing by the Rangers as a lot of different players contributed in the butt kicking of the Angels.
